About Gravity Ballistics
Gravity Ballistics was stumbled on in 2015 by Sir Marcus Taylor. Marc Taylor of Alaska Precision Rifle Fame found this solution in the best way possible, with actual data. Sniper's Hide and Marc Taylor have hosted more than 1000 precision rifle students over a few short years. We recorded and used real-world data from over 90 students during the gravity ballistics development. This information was tested on students and Sniper's Hide Members from the beginning.
During the Sniper's Hide Training Courses, we developed what was initially called Weaponized Math worksheets for students to gather data. Those weaponized math worksheets eventually became the model for the Gravity Ballistics App.
Gravity Ballistics is the easiest way to dope any rifle that has been zeroed at 100 yards. Gravity is the variable, so a flat line distance is required. However, Gravity Ballistics is flexible enough to allow for angle adjustments to work. The X-Factor can be adjusted as needed. However, these inputs work off each other to true the system to your needs.
No Muzzle Velocity Needed, No BC, No Sight Height; just what you shot the previous yard line multiplied by the X-Factor will give you a center strike hit.
Once the Dope is confirmed, you can apply the data to any ballistic calculator or Kestrel-style device for travel.
