The wind has a predictable influence on a bullet's trajectory. As the bullet moves downrange, the influence becomes more pronounced, with longer distances amplifying the effect. With wind the bullets impact moves down wind from a no wind point of aim.
The gun mph system is the fastest way to dope our rifle for wind. It is easy, intuitive, and very quick once we get the hang of it. It’s great for making an initial wind call and for reverse calculating what the actual wind speed is.
