RPR's can be a royal bitch to get a apart at times. The AR15 armorer's wrench is a joke imo.

That box is now checked. I've been beta testing one of these in our shop over the last 6 or so months. Few little changes and this is what we now have. No more busted tools. No more blood drives being held at the barrel vice, lol.

In production next week. If interested you can pre order. Price as yet to be determined but we'll be able to keep it right at about $95.00 +/- a few scheckles. I have to sort out material costs, cycle times, etc... I think we'll be able to keep it under $ ### though.

100% bar stock machined. 1/2" drive socket. We press/weld it on the back side.

    Thanks for lookin.

We are in full production now. Gonna run 100 of em. Small parts are on order. They'll be here in a few days. Soon as that shows up we'll be pressen n Tig'n the sockets.

Thinkin were gonna parkerize these. I'd love to leave them in the white as they come out lookin really nice off the machine. Fear in places like TX, FL, etc.. they'd be orange within a week.

Sockets should be here in a week. My local HW store is the shizzle. They pulled every socket from every complete set they had and gave me those to get the initial orders processed.

Hopefully here in about 10 days we'll have them on the shelf and ready to bounce 100%. I'm going to wash these good and parkerize them. No blasting. Just "parked".

Might be less work into it to just bead blast them than to get them clean enough for consistent finish after they've been handled. Dunking in acetone/alcohol can give you inconsistent/spotty finish, especially if it's got traces of any kind of oil floating in it. Even touching with latex gloves on has effed up parts for me, let alone bare hands. Raw steel straight from the blaster to the park tank works the best. More surface area for chemical interaction, no previous oxidation, etc. It doesn't take long, even in dry climates for oxidation that you can't see to take place that will rear its ugly head once it gets parked.

If it works, it works, though. Post a picture. I'm thinking it'll come out looking like some of the German phosphated small arms parts at the tail end of WWII if it works.

Nope. Just good ol A36 mild steel. With 360* part captivation you don't need to go that extravagant. Doing so just adds to cost, both material and tooling. If it were being used like a socket on an impact gun I'd say sure, but even with the rate we swap barrels, the duty cycle is quite low. I could probably get away with making this out of aluminum if it wasn't for the need to have a durable means of attaching the wrench.

Ordered one on the 26th and had it in my hands 4-5 days later. Very impressive tool.

    Thanks for the plug mister.

Quinton, my little TIG welding spectacle, is going to hate me today. 100+F is the daytime high according to the forcast and he's going to be making ozone for the bulk of the morning. We got the shipment of impact sockets in late last week.
