Clean barrel, shooting between wind gust. Cut it TOO close on the middle hostage target but I squeezed through by a half a hair!

Last month I shot a 65 with a bad scope & Federal bulk ammo on my first ever outing with the brand new rifle. For this month, I swapped the scope out for an SWFA SS 3-9 & picked up a brick of Wolf MT. It was a little windy so I didn't try for the tiny circle on Stage 4. For the remainder of the targets I was waiting for the gusts to subside.

I'm very happy with this rifle now!

Re: APRIL 2011 SH SHORT RANGE RIMFIRE COMPETITIONS

Congrats to everyone who shot this month. Found out after driving to the range this morning that they are removing the lead from the rifle range. Looking forward to competing again next month!

Much like in the long range matches, many had some weird stuff happening in April, and couldn't get to shoot.

Welcome to new shooters REELJOB, COTRONRO, N. ALLEN and CHARLIETN. Something is telling me OLD SALT shot the matches before, but if I'm wrong, welcome aboard.

Congratulations to REELJOB (who shot a <span style="color: #FF0000">CLEAN</span> <span style="color: #FFFFFF">TRC </span><span style="color: #3366FF">!!!!</span>) I think that is the first time that target has been shot clean.

Again, hopefully May will bring the flowers those nasty April showers promised, and we can all shake off those gremlins that plagued most of us this month.

May also holds a special holiday - Memorial Day - an oppurtunity to remember those near and dear to us that are no longer here and those that have made the ultimate sacrifice so we that we can have the priviledge of doing what it is we do everyday and having the freedoms we have. Take the time to remember them.

I shot this Saturday but wasn't able to post until today due to helping out with Tornado cleanup. We got hit hard here.

1st time trying this. I will definitely do it again, and again. Great learning experience.
