Join the contest SubscribeI was sitting in a deer stand one morning. I was sitting in it with my barrel propped up on the rail. I watched a squirrel coming across the ground towards my stand. He started climbing up the deer stand, with me sitting very still. Next thing I know, he puts both front feet on the end of the barrel, and peeks up over the end of the barrel right at me. I had my finger on the trigger, but just didn’t heart to pull it.I was sitting at the bottom of a tree eating a sandwich and had a squirrel jump on my shoulder and run down me to the ground. Spooked the shit out of me. I assume it just saw me as part of the tree. I still won't eat my lunch leaned on a tree.

Just trying to get this thread away from cutting a dry aged ribeye in half, cooking it through and through, and putting beans on the same plate. Beans? Next thing we'll see is a whole lobster and beans.

They ain’t done right unless you got bacon in ‘em. My preference is for hickory smoked bacon.Beans (other than green beans) are nasty. Green beans have to be done right though. The south does the right.

BTW I have discovered grilled corn on the cob. A little fussy, but man it's good.
I knew we had made it as a kid when we gots one of them new fangled "electric" ice cream makers. But the joy of cranking that bad boy as a little kid was worth it.Now all that you need is homemade ice cream. My dad would put us kids to do the cranking on the ice cream maker. If we wanted the ice cream, we had to do the cranking.
