While- mathematically- it may seem that 2 for $5 is the same as 4 for $10, they are not equivalent. Yes, if the deal is 2 for $5, then you can also get 4 for $10, the reverse is not true. A special price of 4 for $10 implies that the buyer must buy 4 to get the special price. Buying only 2 would incur regular pricing. The price correction may seem to be insignificant, but it does result in better pricing for the customer…
