If I was asked to describe the progression of the entire Yellowstone series and it's satellites in a simile format:
"... Think of one of those early morning multicell squall lines that mature overnight and arrive just after dawn, most frequently experienced in the Dakota badlands and Wyoming. As the sun is rising, the anvil of the approaching system passes just overhead and it absolutely lights the entire landscape on fire with a swirl of blinding orange and red. The birds continue chirping seemingly unaware of the monster bearing down very soon. You look towards the horizon and sure enough, the leading edge of the gust shelf is now approaching, fiery red in it's upper part that is sharing the sunlight with the system's towering anvil, but turning a surreal turquoise blue underneath and prickling with bursts of lightning. It moves fast and long before that tidal wave-like precipitation front even reaches you, the wind is already buffeting you with 70 mph gusts and blasts of torrential rain and small hail that sound like bullets. With orange sunlight still struggling to pierce through on one edge of the sky, it is already a haze of noise, thunderclaps, and tumult at ground level. You do not want to be standing out there right now because your skin will literally be shredded. The full category 2 hurricane effects of this monster are still 20-40 minutes away on the turquoise horizon... And behind it are several more systems still yet to come..."
