I’m looking for suggestions on mounting a Nightforce 12-42x56 30mm scope on an Anschutz 2013 rail. Apparently there are several options including a conversion piece from 11 mm to weaver rail, a conversion piece to Pincatinny rail or direct mount with tall rings from Kelbys. Anyone have better luck with either option?

Re: Nightforce to Anschutz rail

JP Products makes a great converter base for going from the Annie groove to a Weaver and it's well made and only about $20. bucks for the pair. I just put some on my Annie to use Burris rings and they are solid and fit tight and have set screws to lock them down good. Came in 3 days from ordering and seem like good people to deal with.

Just remembered another possible? option is that the BKL rings fit directly on the Annie grooved receiver but not sure if they come in 30MM for a NF tube

Re: Nightforce to Anschutz rail

I'm in the same boat except I'm running a Walther. I believe they're both 11mm dovetails though. Anyone have experience the Burris Signature series with the offset ring shim inserts? It appears you can get 0.40" of cant with a set of shims in opposition (+.020 and -.020). The MOA shift would depend on how far apart the rings are spaced, of course.

Re: Nightforce to Anschutz rail

I have a set of the Kelbly rings. I think they are the truest rings I have ever owned and all of my rings are quality. The scope just nests in them like a glove. I also have one of the Airforce Airguns (same folks as BKL) dovetail to Picatinny mounts. I use this to mount scopes to my Annie on a temporary basis for review articles. The Kelbly rings are a much better option for long term use. They are lower, look nicer, and are of higher quality.

Not really sure I can give you an answer for that.

I am in the UK so the usual temperature range is between -10DegC in winter (that's max, normally -3DegC is as bad as it gets) and +30DegC in Summer (and that's a good one!).

I've had my rings for four years and never noticed any problems.

Re: Nightforce to Anschutz rail

The Burris Signature rings are the cats meow and hold rock solid even on big magnums and have a great track record. The bonus of having the ability to + or - up to 30 moa is helpful and if you have a misaligned receiver or rail they can be used to realign the scope to bore by turning the rings to get you back to center of optic.
Another thing about them is no ring marks on your purdy $1K scope.
I didn't know Kelbly style rings fit on a 11 mm dovetail will have to try that tip.

Re: Nightforce to Anschutz rail

I have always liked Burris stuff and I lived in colorado for awhile near where they make their scopes. Really good optics for the price and I love thier Fast Fire red dot on my squirrel gun. Now about my purdy $1k scope, I wish they were only $1K, try $2K and worth every dollar,
