I just purchased a Stag Arms Model 8 and a Leupold VX-R 3-9 Patrol. I want to use this scope on the AR and my Benchmark Built Rem 700 7wsm. Will the Larue LT104 base fit both needs or will the the eye relief be off for the bolt gun? Is there an in between? I am open to suggestions.

I agree that the LT-104 may be too high. LaRue has the LT-123 for the remington 700, which could be used on an AR but you might want to use a riser in. If eye reliefe is a problem, LaRue has the LT-139 that would help.

I appreciate the replies. Thanks guys. I just though I had this great idea but it doesn't look like it will work. I am not buying $350 worth of mounts to use one scope on 2 rifles. I will probably just buy another scope.

I use an LT104 mount on my precision AR and I really like it. Although I am using a PRS stock so I can adjust my cheek weld to fit the height. It depends on what you need it for. I would personally go with quick disconnect mounts for all rifles to make it easier to store in my safe and able to use one scope for several rifles? Hope this helps

Why would you switch out the scope on two different mounts? If for some reason you would do that, not sure why, you could just get the proper mounts for each rifle and do it that way. If you have the time to mount the scope on each rifle, everytime you take them out and rezero each time, then I guess its fine and you are saving some money for now, but not in the long run as far as the cost of the rounds used to rezero every time? I think I just confused my self???
