which is the heaviest bullet that the sps v 1-12 twist will stabilize. i am using 168 bthp hornadys with good success to 600 but have been reading they are no good past 850-875. which ones will go beyong that? or do i need a faster twist to handle the heavier pills

The SPS-V will stabilize 208gr Amax
No they won't fit in the mag.
You will not have any problems with 175gr Sierras, 178gr Hornady Amax or BTHP.

The 178gr BTHP is arguably the best .308 bullet going. It has a better BC than the 178 AMAX or 175 SMK.

Likewise I have not had any issues stabilizing 180smk’s, or the long 180 LBT VLD’s or 190 berger vlds in my varmint with a 12 twist.
