I find that the Berger VLD (180 gr) bullet will not feed in my LWRC REPR, however, the Sierra Match King (175 gr) works fine.

I have attemped this with different mags and both the 16" and 20" uppers.

Any input?

Re: REPR & Berger VLD

The VLD's have a secant ogive.... and depending on how far you seat them will affect feeding.

I shoot the vld 168's at 2.810" through my OBR with no issues.

Best of luck,

Kinnamon

Re: REPR & Berger VLD

Stick with SMK's or AMAX projectiles... I had a REPR and it shot the 175 SMK's very well over 43.5 of varget.

Vld's like to be loaded to the lands and your magazine will dictate that...

Re: REPR & Berger VLD

The vld is a different bullet. Your limited to you magazine as to how far you can stretch them.. Despite all the critics and naysayers... The REPR is a fine semi. Your gas knob issue would better be dealt with if you just gave LWRC a call. There C.S is very good.

175smk with lapua brass from southwest ammunition.....mine is shooting bugholes to 800 and is easily on target at half torso sized targets at 1000 shooting about a round per second. Soon as the camera is up the video will be posted.

It's a great rifle, but not everybody likes it. I happen to,love,it but the next rifle will be a POF or total custom. Maybe a les Baer 308 if the wait time is too long. Hand built by a single smith is the way to go IMO.

Re: REPR & Berger VLD

Need much longer OAL with the VLD, does not mag OAL constraint very well.

Loaded long and single loaded, works fine shiel improving down ragne ballistics. However, defeats purpose of a magazine fed, gas operated rifle.
