Range Report Superperformance 178 .308

I can't get this ammo to shoot out of any of my guns.
I didn't expect much out of my gas gun, but I figured it would shoot great out of my bolt guns.

It was terrible out of my gas gun.

I'm getting 2moa at best out of both of my bolt guns. These guns shoot Gold Match 1/2 MOA all day long or better. Is anyone else having issues with it?
I wished I would have tested it before I ordered 2 cases of it.

It could be the 178 Amax bullet they use. My rifle hates them. I have found them to shoot about the same as yours. FGMM is definitively a good baseline.

I had good luck with it out of my 5R.
And it was screaming fast, 2770fps
Was sub MOA, even with me shooting it.

my remington 700 likes the 178 Amax ammunition from HSM but NOT the hornady..

shoots 2 inch groups out of my gas gun.


.5 inch or better from my bolt gun.


my first batch I sent back to Hornady due to excessive pressure, i was getting 90% popped primers..

I have tried 7mm-08 and it shot bad shot it in my AR10 could never get better than 1 1/2 moa not too good out of my guns

The first round of it that I sent through one of my .308 bolt guns obliterated the primer (completely gone, not just popped out of the pocket), so needless to say there was no further testing with Hornady Superformance done that day...
