Re: Anyone had the Gemtech OutBack 2 conversion

Got mine back last week. Real fast turnaround, the had it in house less than 24 hours.

Re: Anyone had the Gemtech OutBack 2 conversion

I was thinking about sending mine in as well. It's about 5 years old now and has probably 2500-3000 rounds through it.

Glocker, any noticable difference in anything?

Thanks,
Breeze

I will be sending my outbackII in when it weighs 7oz to have the conversion. A good friend of mine sent his in and just got the conversion. He told me he likes it very much but has to clean it at about 200 rds or its hard to get the baffles out.

Until that day,

I do, I do. Gained a bit of weight on a scale, according to the specs, but I can't tell (fractions of an ounce). Disassembly is easy. Sound reduction is same, as far as I can tell. I use steel take-down cans mostly now, so cleaning isn't as easy as those (I use ultrasonic on steel).

You will be happy with the conversion/update. And Gemtech has been great to deal with.

I have one of these and am interested in doing this.. What is the process involved in sending it back to gemtech?? do I have to go through a class3 dealer or can I just send it in the mail???

thanks
