I took my rifle apart to clean off the krylon that was on there before. This is on a remington 700 action with a Hubber concepts trigger with top safety and AI 2.0 chassis. I tried to put it together and the trigger would not release the firing pin and the safety would not go backwards. I removed the trigger and it seems fine. Put it back and it binds again. I started to tap the two pins holding the trigger in place and it works. tap it a little more and it stop working. Has anyone ran into this issue? Thanks in advance. It is very frustrating.

Re: strange trigger binding problem...please help

You're pinching the housing when you drive the pins in. I do this on every install. Install the front pin completely so nothing is in a bind then the rear. Take a punch and on the rear of the housing lightly move each side of the housing to the outside. I sometimes use a screwwdriver the right size, insert and give it a twist to spread the housing. Should solve your problem.

I looked at the trigger again and it was somehow "bind" to one side of the wall of the action. I manage to center it and all is good. Thanks again.
