Original Geco Sport Burchse Mod 28

Anyone have any info on these? Grandfather brought one back from WWII and I'm interested in some history/info on these rifles. Single shot .22, has a ramp rear sight with marks out to 200. Looks like the provision exists for some sort of precision sight on the back left side of the receiver.

I would like to see something with sights out to 200m especially that old since most people only think if a .22lr being food for 50yds
