Ive really wanted this gun for a while, has anyone shot one? Im sure its a good gun but what are some impressions?

I bought the 9mm version for my wife. Excellent sights, good trigger, accurate and ambi safety. I really like the G10 scales......they are very grippy which is nice on a compact frame. I also like that it comes with three mags, holster and mag pouch which is a plus compared to what you get from the competitors.
I really like this gun and wish they made a .45 version.

I have the 9. I would not buy the .40; having it be steel and heavy would defeat the purpose of the gun.
They don't make a .45 version because the action is too short for the .45 cartridge. They do make a 3" microcompact .45 that is the same size.

So change the grips?
If I changed the trigger in my EMP, surely a grip change isn't a big deal.
Either way, it's way better as a 9mm than a .45 anyway. 6+1 isn't so great, and the extra recoil is a detriment when you're trying to shoot fast.

True....it's a little frustrating the way manufacturer's equip their models. "Let's take our heaviest recoiling compact, not checker the frame and put the slickest grips we can on it.....".

I had one for a while. It was OK but not great. My opinion is a little overpriced for what you get. I had issues that my shirt would catch the ambi safety and flip it off. I switched to a Sig compact 1911 in .45 and have not been sorry that I did. I would consider a Sig Ultra too.
