Rifle Scopes optic choices

awaiting my ss 5r milspec, and wondering what would be the best optic for my shooting.


will be doing anywhere from 500-1k yards, variable zoom to me sounds nice.

which scope would you reccomend for under $600 that can reach out to 1k yrds with good magnification for a blind man, my eye sight is very poor when it comes to far away, so the best zoom the better.


will be shooting paper and perhaps even steel targets, i've looked around but honestly when it comes to optics, and even after reading the optics guide i'm still not quite sure what would suite me.

+1 Vortex. Comes with the best warranty in the industry. The only two things they do not stand behind are loss and theft. I can break your scope and the will fix or replace!

another +1 for vortex in that category. Also, i'm sure you could find a PST version in the B/S/T for around that price range if you scout long enough!
