How would i go about converting to a clip in my fn herstal 300wsm spr. Right now it only holds 3 rounds and id like to take the bottom metal off and add a clip, is it as simple as buying a clip and taking the hinged door off?

Hmmm. Not sure anyone makes a kit to use clips in those rifles. Did you have stripper clips or en-bloc clips in mind?
If you decide you'd prefer to feed the rifle via magazines though, consider CDI precision. They make a bottom metal that accepts detachable box magazines (DBM).

I agree with the recommendation for CDI if you decide that a magazine would suit your fancy. I have their system on my FN and it feeds like a champ!

Im sorry im not sure the what the difference is in those two clips, but thanks for the advice ill check in with those guys and see how much they would charge...

A clip feeds ammunition into a magazine and a magazine feeds ammunition into the chamber.

Contact Jeff at CDI he can do the required inletting for you and install his bottom metal for you.Then contact Alpha mags to get the correct magazine.
