My SBR from Rock River came in. I just wanted to know how you guys are breaking in your SBR rifles? Is it the same way as a precision bolt action? Or just fire away and have fun? Run it very wet (lube everything well)? etc etc

Thx

Re: SBR Question

If it's chrome lined, I would just shoot the crap out of it

Re: SBR Question

When my 10.5" RRA SBR came in, I lubed up the bolt and ran it. I didn't do any specific break in process, only cleaned and lubed it every 200-300 rounds or so. I have zero failures and it runs great. Just have fun shooting it!

Re: SBR Question

Can/no can? Buy a case of ammo and once you've run that, your SBR is broken in. Keep you bolt lubed, when running a can. I keep a can of royal purple gun lube and just spray the bolt carrier as needed.
