I gave up on waiting (>1 year and no progress) for my rifles to be handled by a well-known gunsmith and sent them to Keith at Phoenix Custom Rifles. He installed my heavy Criterion barrel into the Savage 300WM, contoured the brake and barrel, mounted the bolt handle, and installed the chassis. He also installed a brake and touched up the trigger on my 700 .308. He did all of this in under a month and at a reaonable price. I just figured that I ought to give a free plug to a great smith and decent guy. I will post pictures later.

Re: PCR jobs

I also have nothing but good to say about Keith and Brad. Quality of work has been outstanding, and they go out of their way to help their customers. Will be continuing to use them for sure.
They just got done doing a little work for me on a Remington 700 in 308, and was shooting 1/2 MOA out to 600 yards after I got it back. Looking forward to a 6.5 CM they're gonna build for me.

I don't mind waiting but I like a little communications sometimes while I wait. I need to feel "the love" while I wait after sending big bucks. That could be thread all by itself

Re: PCR jobs

Thanks for the props BigAndy,

We have 2 rifle smiths working every day and are in the process of installing a second lathe to keep up with barrel work.

We'll be posting pictures of a couple tactical and hunting rifles soon so keep an eye out in the bolt action rifles forum.

Re: PCR jobs

I have already referred them one customer and will do more in the future. Great service and a well built rifle.

They stand by their work and will make sure it runs perfectly.
