Rifle Scopes NF vs Vortex

i have a vortex viper 4-16x50 PST FFP MOA/MOA.

i have been thinking about upgrading to a NF.

how much "better" are the NF's?

i am NOT impressed with the glass on vortex. to me, not that much better than my nikon prostaff. especially with the magnification cranked up.

Get the best you can afford. I think the S$B, Hensoldt, PR Heritage, and Nightforce are all worth buying and will serve you well. Also, if there is something you don't like about the scope they hold their value well. But I doubt you'll be disappointed.

i haven't used a vortex scope so my opinion is biased however i just picked up a NF 5.5x22 and i am very happy with it

There is no comparison between the PST and NF. The PST glass sucks

The razor hd would be the only comparable scope to the nxs

I have owned/used plenty of both scopes mentioned. The tracking will be no different in the two as the PST has always tracked perfectly. The NXS is built more durably, and the glass is a bit better. The NXS is definitely worth the money if you can properly afford it, but the PST is not a bad scope by any means.

I would recommend the NXS if you have the money to go ahead on it.

I think you need to compare the Razor to the NXS, they are very close in price. All of the PST's I own have nice glass and track well but they have not been on the market long enough to have proven themselves as a reliable scope.

The NXS is awesome. Mine tracks perfectly and makes my shooting partners PST look like a Bushnell POS. He was happy with his PST til I got my NXS and now he has the same scope on order that I bought. Crystal clear and tracks perfectly.
