I've got a Leupy Mark 4 and want some sun protection. Anyone want to share an idea as to which is more effective, the ARD or shade? I know the shade is cheaper but increases the length of the (already-long)tube. I'm only trying to cut some of the glare from looking in the general direction of the sun late in the PM; Do you need both a 2.5" shade and an ARD to be effective. I have no experience along this line. Counter snipers are not my concern. Thanks...

Haven't tried the ARD, but love the sunshade on my Mark 4. I have a stand on my deer lease that looks directly west. In the late evening without a shade it is near impossible to see anything. With the shade it is a world of difference.
