Wondering if any of you gents may have any suggestions on tuning AI mags for a 6.5x47L Remington 700. With a full magazing the first or second round wants to tip forward and jam in the front of the magazine. With the exception of not completely filling the magazine is there any good solutions?

Yeah, notch the feed ramp a little with a dremel and you will be good to go. The tip of the bullet very well might be getting stuck under the lip of the feed ramp maybe .100 and that is causing it to get stuck.

This may help-

If the DBM was installed / fitted properly a feed lip tweak is all that’s needed. I've built a few 47L's and all feed from an AI/AW magazine flawlessly. Try slightly bending the front of the magazine feed lips out, not too much, just a little.

The notch that’s being mentioned is needed for modified AI magazines only, the 47L will work from a standard non-modified AI/AW magazine.
