Started working on the first of three new blinds for this year. It is 6 foot wide by 8 foot long, 8 foot tall in the front and 7 foot tall in the back. This is what we got done today. Not gonna be too bad for some deer hunting.

This is the front, windows are 36x36

Here is the back, this window is 24x36 and a locking door.

This is one side has 24x36 window, and the other side will be the same.

Just have to finish the last side and roof. Then going to paint it, insulate the inside, and put up some plywood for the inside and paint it also. We will also use 4x4's to elevate it off the ground about 5 feet.

How many people you going to have hunting in it at once?? just a tad bigger and you could get double use out of it as a camp house. Then you could sleep right up till huntin time. Nice looking blinds

Re: Building a new deer blind

Well there will usually be two people in it sometimes three. But me my dad and brother are all around 6'3'' so it makes it nice to actually have some room to stand up and not be shoulder to shoulder hunting with other people. No need for the camp house lol already built a real nice cabin. As for the recliners, there will be some nice old office chairs so it'll be close.

Forgot to add. we got the last wall and roof on today, and the trim around the windows done. Now all it needs is some paint and the shingles on the roof.

I can't help but think a coke machine would look real good next to this.

I keep telling myself every year I'm going to build a blind like this, but never seem to get it done. If I wasn't sitting on the ground with a wet ass, and a hungry gut It just wouldn't feel right. A blind like this just makes sense sometimes. I'm going to do it one of these days, with a flip up roof. That way I can use it for waterfowl hunting as well as deer hunting.

How do you move that?!
Ive always built mine (for lease hunters) off a pallet as a base , so I can move it. I also carpet the entire inside minus the ceiling for insulation and sound suppression. The blinds then are set on bricks and a sheet metal base, the blinds can be moved by 2 people and a truck, pallet fork or hay round bale forks
That way I can move it anywhere my huntrrs like
