Hi, I'm planing to build a custom rifle in 7WSM. But need some input on the chamber...

Here are some information I have:

Max magasine length: 2,952"
Bullet: A-max 162grs

I will true up the brass with neck trimming. (I guess about 90% cleaned up)

It's a custom action that moeves maximum 3,937 (100mm)

0,317" for 90% turned winchester brass and A-max bullet?

Re: 7WSM chamber spec's??

I have 2 7wsm reamers..

The first one is a .315 nk with a .104 freebore, that with a 162 amax loaded to touch the lands, it would have a OAL of 3.024.

The second reamer is also a .315 nk with a .040 freebore, again a 162 amax will hit the lands at 2.960 oal.

The 162 seems to be very jump tolerant in my current rifle that is chambered with the first reamer. I'm jumping them right at .075 thou with favorable results...

Looks like it would about take zero freebore to fit a secant ogive bullet in a standard length 700 box or else go with .040" freebore and install a wyatt's box.
