Call this "migit GP superbike" or whatever.

Were starting a pocketbike road racing series up here.

My hand built custom ordered Italian Phantom arrives Tuesday. They basically shrunk a Ducati I think.

    Single side swing arm
QD wheels for when it goes wet
    Water cooled
    50cc
    20+hp (no, that's not a typo)
    Disk brakes
    Fully adjustable chassis
    90+mph
    Tire warmers
    Adjustable clutch
    Billet wheels

Can't wait! I've been working with the local Go Kart tracks. So far I have one on the hook and think I can get another. This bike won the US nationals a couple years ago. Allegedly the rider ran out of gas 100' from the finish and had enough lead to push the bike to the checkered flag.

    40mph power wheelies!

This is what I have now, a 13hp watercooled Blata Elite.

    Fun stuff!

Way cool...love the sound on the video, takes me back to the racing days. Yeah, I can see why you would like that.

Nah, but you should buy stock in the knee slider puck company, cause these are definitely 'consumables'.

i once knew of a skilled gunsmith in North Carolina who went from building excellent 1911's to racing bikes.... Blake Gann

Powerful the dark side is...fast precision machines are cool.

That's in Daytona. Sturgis would be closer.

Crazy!! My 3 year old would love that thing. Wonder if that would be legal to drive on the street?? Heck of a way to get to school and home! imagine the chicks you would have had in kindergarten with one of those!

Be careful. As we get older we dont flop as well!

Re: Latest. . . (not gun related, but cool)

    Glen,

To best of my knowledge there's no way to legalize these things for street use. If local LE is the barometer, don't even mess with public streets anywhere close to residential areas.

They looooove writing tickets. . .

Re: Latest. . . (not gun related, but cool)

Reminds me of the bachelor party I went to last summer. One of the guys brought his 125cc 5spd pit bike. It looked harmless until I saw it had full exhaust K&N cone and he was filling it up with C16.

Re: Latest. . . (not gun related, but cool)

Curious when you are going to hang a video? Looks like a hoot!

In our town, if it under 50cc (stamped on cylinder) than its basically considered a bicycle. No licensing required and no drivers license required. I bet one of these hits the streets and that would change real quick like. Least it would fit in the trunk of a squad car for your trip home!

holy crap im glad they didn't have these when i was younger..well..kinda

You'd still get a DUI, if you're in control of it and on the public roads, you're done.

I've heard of people getting DUI's on horses...not sure how many cc's a horse is, but it's only 1 hp.

He meant all the drunks w/ dui's that can't get a license ride the under 50 CC scooters because you don't need a license. That should be the only reason a selfrespecting man would ride one of those crappy things.

The little bikes are fun but I caught a knee once pretty hard in a corner. You don't fall far but you sure skid nicely.

I had a friend in the 90's who boasted of commuting to work every day for several months on a minibike. He was 6'3 and I'm truly sorry I missed that spectacle.

When it comes to motor sports I am not one to judge.

I just wonder what the deductible is from the proctologist who has to perform the emergency mini-super-moto-lower intestinal blockage and reconstruction surgery. (I.E Mini bike up the ass @ 90mph)

Looks like fun right up until it isn’t

New clutch cover that I made. The one on the bike had a hairline crack in it. Playing with it resulted in a ear falling off. Its a part that has to come from Italy. (blech!) Made this one with a little more girth and wider bridges. Also switched to 7075 instead of 6061.

    So far its working well.

Is there anything you can't build? Really cool that you are able to just whip up a replacement part like that. Breaking shit like that on my dirtbikes as a kid cost me a lot of time mowing lawns to get them fixed. If only I had a God knows how $$$$ CNC back then. This thread is inspiring...I really need to finish gathering parts before you hurt yourself!
