The rifle/action was a savage MKII and the stock was the ever so popular Wells G36 folder.
As stated by everyone previously this stock is beefy. I've never actually handled an airsoft, so to say I was skeptical of the quality is an understatement.
Originally the rifle was in a Boyds Tacticool and since day one I was unsatisfied with the stock. The ergonomics were "ehhh" and the quality of the wood left much to be desired.
Top Predator stated in one of his posts he thought the G36 was a better choice than the tacticool, boy was he right!
I didn't document the build, and the process is somewhat hard to explain but I have plans on doing another in the future.
The savage action required a little more hacking to the chassis to get it to fit properly. I was also determined to use the notch intended for the bolt because it was damn close.
I ended up using a 1" square aluminum tube, 1/2" round aluminum tube and some aluminum brazing rods to build a chassis that fit inside the chassis. The ID of the airsoft chassis is right around 1" so the square tube fits perfectly.
