Re: Just got my Torch Pro IR
Okay, last night was more of a friendly beer drinking meteor shower watching Night Vision fest than it was a video photo documentary of the Torch Pro IR light, but here is a two minute 25MB WMV video of the Torch Pro IR and the LDI DBAL-D2 IR Illuminator.

As you can see in the vid, the DBAL-D2 IR 0.7mW laser and IR Illuminator are pretty much a perfect precise NV match-up and work perfect together at distances way beyond what I will ever be shooting at night.
The Torch Pro IR matched up to my DBAL-I2 is also a super strong IR setup that goes out past 800 yards easily together and at my maximum night shooting range that I limit myself to of about 225 yards, is absolutely right on.
We took the Torch Pro out in the horse pasture while we were spotting meteors and it will easily go past 1/2 mile, it is any extremely powerful adjustable focus IR Illuminator.
The thing is with either of these IR Illuminators, you will need a magnified NV Optic to take full advantage of the power they emit.
Using a helmet mounted PVS-14 without magnifier, both the Torch Pro and the DBAL-D2 IR Illuminators totally cover everything you would ever need out to 100 yards. Adding a USGI 3X magnifier to the PVS-14 increases shooting range out to about 250 yards.
I do not have an NV dedicated scope setup, but from what I am seeing, a D-740 or D-760 scope would be heaven with the TNVC Torch Pro enabling anyone to make maximum long range use of their rifle NV scope combination...
