I've been wanting a 700 for ages, and finally got around to buying one. After I sighted it in at 50yds, I was shooting 1 MOA groups at 100yds. Need lots more practice, but I'm loving it. Excited to learn about longer range shooting!

Here are a few photos from today.

Thanks! I actually have the MK4 3.5-10x40 as well, with standard crosshairs (might send it in for the TMR or Mil dot). I posted a question in the scope forum, but maybe you know the answer? I have the scope zeroed, but the index hashes on the elevation turret as way off, do you know if we can adjust these?

When I rotate the locking screw, I can turn it to zero, but it only allows me to rotate the turret left/right to set the value. The height of the turret doesn't change, so the index hashes stay the same.

Looks like a damn fine setup!! You did a great job in picking quality parts. That rifle and optic combo will sereve you a life time. One thing I noticed, is your bipod is on backwards, flip it around and you will be good to go.

Congrats!!

I don't think there is anything you can do about that, just note how many you are up from the bottom so when you go to dialing up for the long distances, you know where you were at 100 yd.

Second to last picuture, you see that shinny spot on the reciever just above the bolt, put some grease there. Secondly do not put a Mil based retical with MOA dials. Match the turret and retical. Mil/Mil or MOA/MOA NOT Mil/MOA <----STUPID
