I watched last year and was fukn bored out of my mind. If half the cast doesn't get killed in this first episode I'm going to write it off.

I enjoyed it last year, and am looking forward to it this year.
Acting can be pretty hokey, but its better than most of the other dreck that airs on TV during the summer.

I thought it sucked ass last year. Poor writing along with poor acting. Too much is predictable.
Gonna give it another try and see if the writing got any batter during the off season.

well watching the first two hours of this season still leaves me on the fence, there is soo much potential in this serie but it seems barely tapped.

^^Well nobody who needed to died and that was two fucking boring ass shows so I'm done.

This season, better than last. Liked both seasons. Still say, in a tossup between this and <span style="font-style: italic">Terra Nova, TN</span> should have also gotten extended. Bought season I on DVD, will do the same for season II.
The season closer last night was a lot like the one previous season; reiterations and plot arc conclusions, then cliffhangers from out of left field.
The final scene kinda reminds me of something out of <span style="font-style: italic">Childhood's End</span>...
Ally or enemy? Does it really have to be just one of those...?
"<span style="font-style: italic">Real</span>" aliens would more likely be some of each. Identical goals and values would be the more unlikely.

I too liked the first season, and liked this season better. Still plenty of hokey moments but that's fine IMO.
I'm guessing the final scene will end up being an 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' type of setup...

This is exactly what i was thinking.....as in that big thing that got blown up was a AA gun of sorts since it was pointed to the sky. Also, i'm thinking that since those guys at the end came in by themselves instead of grouped up, they must be some bad-asses to operate by themselves.

Definitely a fan,
I think they do a good job with this one, I put it in the same league as Walking Dead quality wise.
I think they stepped up the values on Season Two, I liked the look and feel of the show this season.
Dragging out the relationship between Hal & Maggie is a bit overdoing it, as if they would be doing all this reflection and long term thinking, especially when I consider what I was like at 18 - 20, but they at least got that part right with Tom & Anne, they didn't screw around talking about it all day.
But overall the stories are good, the show is solid and I can get look forward too it

I didn't find out about this show until they started re-showing the 1st season right before season two started. I'm on episode 3 of season two right now.
I really enjoy it. It's got the gun play, action, and common sense that The Walking Dead should have.
Some of it is chock full of WTF, such as why do they have plenty of .50 cal ammo yet no Aimpoint for Maggie?
This is also the first time I've seen a reloading press on a TV show designed for the masses.
The women on the show are easy on the eyes too.

I think that might be one scenario, that or they're there to help to humans which would be gay as hell.
But what I don't get is that any species with the tech to get to this planet is not going to get here and then get killed by a bunch of relatively pathetic by comparison humans. Just like that fucking stupid movie Signs. Water kills them so what do they do? Invade a planet that's 80% water of course and there are countless other examples of this stupidity in other movies.
Or the space craft from Roswell NM, you're telling me a species with the tech to make it here also somehow managed to crash?

I watch it and enjoy it for the most part. Some episodes drag on and I question their equipment used - like a 67 GTO for a gun platform and everyone seems to only find AK's.

I gonna guess here..the Overlords tripped over their dicks at some point doing their whole conquer and enslave thing. Picked a fight with the wrong ones and now they're on the run, still trying to do the conquer and enslave thing. Looks like they planned on standing their ground on Earth with what looked like some type of alien AA stuff...that the humans destroyed.

I was the thinking the weapon was to destroy another planet an earth was in the righ place to do it .. They where gathering scrape metal early on in the season to build the weapons for such ..
The new guys are here to clean up and prolly take over when the enemy of my enemy is all done .
