So, one of the LMT MWS' selling points is that its barrel can be easily swapped out. Where are the other barrel choices? Are they available yet? What calibers?

13,18 and 20" stainless steel ,16 18 and 20" chrome lined in 308 . Then you can start getting into 260,243. They are all available thru LMT's main website.

With the pre election backlog in complete rifles, non standard barrels are probably low priority.

I have an MWS and I'd like to see aftermarket offerings. The LMT SS barrels are $700. Krieger's AR10 barrel is triple cryoed, cut rifled, chambered, custom headspaced and threaded, and is $700.

Gun Broker (Reds Trading Post) 7mm-08, and .243 barrels. $559.
So right now online you can buy .243, 6.5CM, 7mm-08, and .338 Fed. barrels.
That is all the LMT MWS factory barrel calibers other than .260 and .308.

6.5 CM and .260.
I've got a .260 barrel. It is a 9 twist so it likes the 120-123 grain bullets better than the 139-142 grain bullets.
It will shoot sub MOA easily. However the rifle is hard on brass, so that has to be taken into account. .260 ammo and brass are more expensive than .308.
That extra BC comes at a price.

The LMT is a Rock creek barrel and it comes with a gas block,gas tube and bracket for $615.I don't see the heart burn with that.

I used the service for my old MWS. I was quoted two weeks when I wanted to convert a Noveske barrel. It took a month and a half to receive it. The work was well done.
I would use the service if you are not in a rush.
