I am looking to build a hunting rifle. I know I can build just fine off a model 10 action but cannot find one. So would you suggest a model 11, or steven 200. I am wanting to build a 6.5creedmore. I will be buying a 308. I can get either for about the same price at buds, just dont know which is easier to go with. Thanks!

Model 10, Model 11, Stevens 200...doesn't matter as the actions are all identical (exception is finish and trigger).

Yes; target actions are large shank and I <span style="font-style: italic">believe</span> have different action screw spacing.

My 12 LRP is 4.41" spacing.

the LRP is a special version of the target action.. it's a repeater.... MOST of the target actions are single feed and have 3 action screws

It definitely is not the smoothest action, not anything like my 700's but it gets a lot better the more you cycle it.

If you want the accutrigger then go with the savage, if you plan on changing the trigger out go with what's cheaper.
