I'm planning on a new build in 6 Creedmoor that I'm gonna have my local smith do for me. He doesn't have a 6 creedmoor reamer.

Do places rent them? Rather than spend the $160-$200 on a reamer I might never use again?

Re: Renting a reamer?

Here is my only question....

Do you only plan on running this cartridge for the life of 1 barrel?

My thinking is buy the reamer, your in control of neck diameter and freebore, and you will know how many barrels it has chambered..

Your going to have 2-3k in a rifle, what's another 150.00

It is another 150 dollars plus an undetermined wait time. Some people understand what 150 dollars is and others think that it doesn't matter. Gov doesn't think it matters and look how good at their budget they are.

I understand what 150.00 is!! I also know I like to be in control of certain particulars when it comes to picking a reamer...

Re: Renting a reamer?

I called PTG and got lucky.....they had one in stock for 6 creedmoor.

I talked to my smith.....he talked me into just buying it. He said he always uses reamers that are well maintained and sharp, but nothing cuts like a brand new one.

I couldn't find a rental anyways in that caliber.

Re: Renting a reamer?

Good choice the creedmoor is one of my best selling 6mm reamers . I sell one heck of allot of the 6 CM and 6 Dashers also. Thanks Dave Kiff
