Yes you can go swap a .338 for a .300WM if you have the barrel, bolt and tools.

They won't sell it too you, it can be done but is not available.
The only way to do this is to order a PSR rifle from AI.
But you can't buy the bolt

Any way you want to slice it, AI will not sell you a bolt or bolt head to convert your rifle.
If you want to switch calibers across a different bolt face, you have to buy a PSR rifle.
There are no conversion kits for this.

Bugger it.
I want an AW338 but can't order a new one with the specs I want anymore it seems due to them being discontinued. Export from USA would cost ~$3000 more than export from UK ( and may not be possible, thanks ITAR) so I'm discounting that as an option at the moment, was thinking of ordering a new .300AW and converting

Update: Yes, AI will sell me a .338 bolt and barrel for the AWM, they are in stock at Sporting Services in the UK.
