Just did this mod on my PRS stock using an Accushot monopod and a 1/2" YHM riser. Pretty clean look if I do say so myself. The picture below I found on the internet and its what gave me the idea to do it. If you take your time this will come out looking very clean if you don't like the way it looks without the cover.

Great looking mod. You should take some pics of the pieces to help anyone following in your footsteps. I might be tempted.

These are the instructions that were listed with the picture above, I did mine a little differently, but pretty much the same process. Unfortunately I can't take any pictures of the process because I glued the front cover of mine onto the stock to keep it from sliding off.

First take the cover off of the rail on your PRS and install a YHM 1/2" riser holding the riser either forward or back to be able to reinstall in the exact spot later and snug it down.
Take four pieces of tape (two for each side) line each piece up with the edges of the riser and stick them to the stock. Don't let the tape ends come together at this point. Leave them loose.
Take the riser off and reinstall the cover.
Now wrap the ends of the tape over the cover so they over lap.
You should now have an exact outline of where the riser was.
Take a razor blade and cut all four pieces of tape to allow the cover to be removed. Do not remove the tape from the cover.
With a saw (I used a jewelers saw) cut the short angled piece off first, sand the edge with 400 wet/dry and save it.
Cut the next section out(the area the riser was) and toss it.
Sand the cut edge of the left over longer piece and set it aside.
Reinstall the short angled piece, the riser, and the longer front piece.
Attach your monopod.
Now you will be able to have a lot cleaner install for your monopod and allow it to fold. Not a big deal but, I've done this twice and it looks great.
I installed mine to fold rearward after I found it gave better clearance.

Great Idea

I tried the jewelers saw, quickly gave up on that and moved to a fine toothed hack saw. Would also recommend a test fitting after cut, and then sand to get everything to fit in place. I used black silicone adhesive to secure pieces and prevent dirt and such from getting in the works. In addition, the silicone can be removed if you don't want the bipod. Just email Magpul for a replacement lower rail cover for the PRS. I offered to pay, but Magpul sent me one for free, and within three days of my request. Thank you.
