i would say just watch local sales, because for 22 you might end up paying more for shipping than you would in tax. The walmart around here has it for $17-18 for a box of federal, 550 rounds.
I hate to say it, but I just watch the "free shipping" auctions on GB, GA, and all the others. I've got some smoking deals on all 22's, and some HMR ammo that I couldn't touch anywhere else.
Check your credit card rewards program. Mine has rewards of cabelas cards. I get my .22 ammo for free, then its just the shipping costs. Of course this is only if I spend a bunch on my CC, but heck that what they make credit cards for right? USO scopes and AICS-AX chassis etc.... Racks up the miles fast!
Just something to keep in mind. If you order in case lots and the cases aren't re-wraped, dropping cases or even boxes of rimfire ammo jars the priming compound loose from the impact area of the rim.
I usually ask for extra bubble wrap and put it in a bigger box. What good is cheap ammo if it doesn't go bang ??
Hey guys this is great info keep the suggestions coming, last week found 100 rounds of Winchester M22 22Lr for 50 dollars at Dicks sporting goods here in Georgia
