I really like this reticle for the fine mil ranging abilities and the rapid ranging system that can range a torso from 400-1300 yards. S&B and Steiner both have this reticle available for an $200 mark up which i dont mind. I guess i should call Premier directly but do you think Premier can install this reticle in their 5x25 scope for a licensing fee similar to S&B? You might say why not just get the S&B but from all the reading i see that Premier has the advantage of not having tunnel vision in the lower powers and maybe at least as good and maybe an hair better in the glass clarity and cheaper.

+1 on the Schmidt and I don't sell them, but I do own one with the MSR reticle. I can't imagine there is a nicer scope out there. Why so set on Premier?

I have read quite a number of side by side reviews and even in the High End review done here there was mention that below 7x, the S&B has a tunnel vision and most say that Premier has as good glass but have read quite a bit from a number of people that it slightly edges out S&B.

How often do you use your 5-25 below 7X? I don't believe not even for a second that S&B gives up anything to Premier glass wise. Even if it did; glass isn't everything.

Having had both a 5-25 PMII and a 5-25 Heritage:
The "tunnel vision" of the Bender is a non issue. If it wasn't played up as an issue, most users wouldn't even notice it. If they did notice, they'd spent about 1 second thinking to themselves "Hmmm. it's a little tunnel-like at 5 power".

See, it is reports like this that I continue to read. I am positive that the S&B is a wonderful scope but unless you have owned both or really evaluated them side by side it doesn't matter. I have not owned either so I can't make any comments and hence why I am asking here

See, it is reports like this that I continue to read. I am positive that the S&B is a wonderful scope but unless you have owned both or really evaluated them side by side it doesn't matter. I have not owned either so I can't make any comments and hence why I am asking here

I've used both and Hensoldt and US Optics as well. Between Premier and S&B, I'll stick with the S&B. Optical quality wise, it's a wash. If best sight picture was my concern, I'd take the Hensoldt. But for overall package, I still prefer the S&B.

we did, but we don't anymore. the fact of the matter is optically they are comparable, the factor is the reticle, they don't offer that reticle.
