The rifle just cleared a few weeks back, I immediately "modernized" it and set aside the stock Colt parts. This video was taken at my camp up in the middle of no where. My stepson is 13 and has gone shooting with me a number of times, but this is his first time shooting anything full auto. He controls it very well, using good tecnique and shooting nice controlled three round bursts. Thought it was a cool video so I posted it up.

Rifle specs:
Colt M16A1 lower, transferrable pre '86.
Magpul CTR
H2 buffer, BCM carbine spring
Noveske Light Shorty Switchblock upper, 10.5"
Aimpoint T1 Micro, Larue LT660 mount
VTAC sling
Magpul AFG2
Surefire MB556 brake/comp

Not pictured: Surefire MINI (gun has a lot more muzzle rise with the can on, plus, the fireball effect from mil spec Federal M193 made for a cool video!)

About a thousand rounds, maybe 1500 through it so far, without a single malfunction of any sort.

But he had a fair amount of hits. 5.56 makes a real small entry hole in a pumpkin, and leaves a gaping "exit wound."

You can own a pre 1986 full auto weapon of your choice in WA state...

Great shooting! I can't believe that's his first time with that. Very disciplined (moreso than I will probably be my first time
