I am not happy with my current HHA single pin bow sight. I just cant get used to the single pin concept. Im looking for a nice multi pin sight. Anybody have an opinion? Im looking at Spott Hoggs at the moment.

I have a G5 Rock and I like it. Micro adjustable and it doesn't add a bunch of weight to the bow. Spot Hoggs are solid but expensive. I think if I didn't use the G5 I would probably go with a Montana Black Gold line or The Spot Hogg Hunter small housing.

I've used a Spot Hogg with 5 pins for the past 6 years. I really like it and have had great results with it. Once it is set up the pins stay where they are set. Easy to adjust. I did change out the pins for my 30, 40 and 50 yard setting. The original ones were just too big. You can do it yourself. The smaller ones work great and do not block the target.
The accessory light is nice, but I have never used it.

I hope this thread gets rolling with opinions. I'm looking at new sights right now too. I'm currently favoring the G5 XR or XR2. I really like the idea of having a fixed pin/s and the ability to roll another down to longer shots. I'm mostly set on it but cant decide if I want the 3 fixed pins and one hybrid or the (XR2) with one fixed and one hybrid. Strangely the sight option with more pins costs less.
I haven't bought bow sights for over ten years and man have they changed in style, and price.

I have a trophy ridge multi-pin sight that has been on my bow for about 6 years. I will definitely buy another when it comes time to replace it.

I just put a Black Gold Rush 4 pin on my bow a few weeks ago and I love it. I had a Trophy Ridge, and while I liked it, it seemed that the pins were just not that bright. If I was hunting in tight woods in the afternoon, I couldn't see the pins when the sun started setting and I could still see and identify deer. That is definitely not a problem with the Rush. I can still see the pins after the ambient light has gotten low enough that I cannot tell the difference between a small doe and large spike, at 15yds.

Im going to the bow shop tomorrow to check out the Spot Hogg Hunter Wrapped 5 pin with .019 pin diameter. My current HHA single pin sight is .019 and works ok from 30 yds on in. But any farther and the pin obscures the target a bit. So im thinking about changing out the bottom 3 pins on the Spot Hogg to .010. I know I can order one like that directly from Spot Hogg, but I dont want to wait 2 weeks for it to ship.
I currently have a 3/16 sized peep, and Im hoping that it lines up properly with the 2 3/8in housing on the Spot Hogg. It should just cover the housing on it I hope. Any ideas?

The battery operated light for the sights in low light conditions, are actually a violation for big game in SD, but I have started hunting cotton tails at night and calling coyotes with the bow, and it's a huge advantage.
Micro Adjust is a MUST for me if I ever decide to upgrade.
7 Pins is a MUST unless I decide to get a faster bow, or shoot lighter broad heads.
It's just too much fun practicing at or beyond 90 yds and still hitting milk jugs with consistency.

I'm running a Trueglo 5 pin in APG, But would like to get a 7 pin, my alphamax is tossin sticks over 330fps and bottom pin pegs out @ 90yds.

I picked up an iq bowsight and I really enjoy it. Being a novice shooter I like having the ability to visually tell if I'm torquing the bow. I was amazed at how even a slight torque at 20 yards would throw the shot.
I shoot the four pin model and have set my pins at 20/30/40/50.
I don't find it adds mutch weight or throw off the balance of my mathews dxt which is pretty short and light.
