6.5 Creedmoor load help

Hi All,

I just got a 6.5CM bolt gun and need help to develop the load. Here what I have

Stiller action
Krieger 24" 1:8
140 grain Amax
H4350
Hornady brass
Federal primer

41.5grns of H4350 is the factory 140 AMAX load and a good place to start the loading process.

If you look up at the top of the main reloading page in the reloading depot there are two posts on 6.5 Creedmoor loads. One an older combo post with .260 and .243 and another one with just Creedmoor.

Try the 120's Amax they work well.

If you want to go that low for bullet weight I would recommend the 123 AMAX as it has a better BC than the 120 and you can get them going the same speed.

123 or 120s will reach 1000 without a problem and shoot flatter than the 140s as they are lighter and you can get them around 3000fps but with the lower BC they aren't as good in the wind and the wind is what I worry more about. I use the 140 AMAX in my Creedmoor.
