I recently purchased an AIAX in 260 to replace my AW for shooting tactical matches. There hasn't been much tactical stuff going on around here lately but, I was anxious to try it out .There is a monthly centerfire benchrest match not far from me so, last month I decided to shoot it using the AX. I mounted a NF F1 on it the night before and apparently didn't torque the cross bolts.
I shot the match and did OK but, nothing impressive. What hurt the most was getting beat by a guy shooting a Savage with a factory 6BR barrel in an HS precision stock.
This month I decided to try again only be a little more prepared. I tightened the rings and sighted the rifle in before the match this time around. It's amazing what a difference a little preparation makes.
195-3x
Off a bipod with rear bag
15x scope
This just shows that AI rifles are as accurate as they are rugged... and it helps to be prepared before the match.
