Depends on the magazine and the rifle. Pmags will take 2.815".

2.800"? That seems low. I measured some commercial ammo and they range from 2.810 to 2.820+.

2.800" is the standard COL.... yes you can squeeze a couple thousandths more out of your rolled load.

if your shooting SMK's it really doesn't matter, as they jump extremely well.

Yes, I am loading for SMK. So, anywhere between 2.800 and 2.820 is fine right? Of course assuming it fits in the magazine.

yep. I load my OBR and MWS to 2.800" with 175 SMK's.... no issues to date with great accuracy.

Just did a few measurements of my commercial 308 ammo's ... FGMM 168 gr is 2.790+", m118LR 175 gr is around 2.815", and FGMM 175 gr is also around 2.815".
