So I was at my grandfathers this past week and I found this gun. The barrel is cut down to the stock and the but stock is cut down like an inch or two before the grip. So my question is, is this legal?? Because I want this gun bad.

Re: 1911 enfield sbr

Did you find paperwork for it in your grandfather's other possesions? If not, then no, it is NOT legal and can get you something like 10 years in prison. For further legal advice regarding this weapon, I advise you to contact the ATF, which will be necessary if you do not wish to break the law. The gun will likely have to be turned over to them for destruction. Sorry for the bad news and have a nice day.
