Pretty good setup at the price point, though the tupperware will need to go.
The Hog Hunter barrel is 0.75" in diameter at the thread shoulder, and I wish Savage would have used an appropriately sized thread protector vs. the grossly oversized one they chose simply for better aesthetics.

The thing that keeps me from buying one is that it's really made to a price point. The stock is shite, and you can't have high hopes that the barreled action you get will be fit halfway properly into the shite stock.
Otherwise, I like the features of the rifle. Magnum contour 20" barrel in a .308 sounds like it would be a handy hunting gun.

It would probably be ok for close hog work, I don't think it will be a long range shooter.

Don't know what the price is but would much rather have a 308 AR lite carbine nothing about the gun really looked innovative just a plain package with a new name..ahhhhh marketing!!!!
