I am making my own kydex saddle cheekpiece and would appreciate some measurements from anyone with a McBros A-4 or A-5 stock equipped with a factory saddle cheekpiece. I need the measurements from the image below. Thanks!!

Humm, I take offense at your post as you are asking others to help you Steal another Persons Idea...McBros or who ever sent time and money to design something that you want to knock off...Honestly not cool or even...I will STFU......Go make your Own, come up with Your Own Design.

If I were making this for production you would have a point. However, since I am making a one-off for an old .22 rifle that my 12-year-old will be using (a rifle for which you dont offer a cheekpiece) I hardly see how it can be considered a knock-off. Karsten, I respect you and your products, but you are way off base on this one.

So why does it matter what dimensions you use?
Make them whatever size you like.

Personally, when I made kydex cheekrests, what I did was to drill holes straight through the stock and install theaded pillars.
The pillars lengths were cut to the the same width as the stock and threaded 10-32 inside both ends.
Then I formed the kydex right over the top of the stock.
Then I spaced it up until I got to the height that I desired and I drilled holes for 4 button head screws.
That gives me a fixed height cheekpiece that's the perfect height for ME.
I don't like the idea of an adjustable height because the adjustable ones have a way of coming loose and losing their "adjustment".

An example of what I am talking about:

Thats a great idea for an adult...but not so good for a growing child.

You can drill new holes as needed to re-adjust it.
It's gonna take quite a bit of time for the head/neck size to change enough to warrant an adjustment though.
So maybe once a year you have to tweak it...
