The Mossberg MMR ,, Looks like a decent package, Any opinions? (I know I know,,, on this forum? Perish the thought <grin> But whats the general thought on it?

Designed for varmint with the 1:12 twist. Big no-no for me:-/

I just checked the Mossberg & Sons site. The MMR Hunter is listed with a 20" free-float barrel and 1:9" twist, list price $950.

I wanted one when they were announced, but they weren't available. So I bought the Stag Model 6 Super Varminter, 24" 1:8" twist. List price $1055, but mine came in under the Mossberg list, with 4 add'l (NY State allowed) 10-rd mags.

Very, very happy with the Stag.

Yet another overpriced AR15 parts gun.

Mossberg is known for churning out knockoff junk, their AR15 clone isn't at all competitive.
