I was looking to buy a b&c medalist 5 stock for my remington 700, i was wondering if it would properly fit my model ADl 700. I know you need to buy a DBM speratley but otherwise the rest of the rifle will fit in correct?

Is your 700 a varmint contour? If it is, yes it will fit. If it's the sporter contour, no it won't.

+1</div></div> Well, it would fit, it would just look a little goofy having the thin barrel sitting in the wide open barrel channel.

I'm not sure I bought it at Gander Mountain when it was on sale. they showed us multiple barrels, one was normal, and=other was a heavy sporting barel and the last was a trianglular one. I bought the regualr one

There's no such thing as the "regular" barrel. As far as Surgeon Rifles is concerned regular=MTU contour. Measure the muzzle diameter. If it is ~ 0.830" then you have the varmint contour. If it's less, ~ 0.6", you have the sporter contour.
