What stock would you use for a Rem 700 LA

Re: What stock would you use for a Rem 700 LA

Hunting what? Where? And how? What caliber?

I suggest you don't buy anything yet. Because all you are going to get as an answer to your question is a list of aftermarket stocks that will fit a Stiller long action. Without context, it's the same information that Google can provide to you - except that using this site to get it will take longer.

Current setup is
Stiller tac 300
Manners t4
Rock 7mm rem mag 25" bbl
Schmidt and bender PM II 5*25*56

I want to sell the Schmidt and get a March f 3*24*42
And I'm thinking about a different stock that is more comfortable for free hand shooting and possibly lighter in weight

As far as hunting. I hunt all over Texas. Deer and pigs mostly. But would like to hunt elk and mule deer in the future

i run a Manners GAT on my 300 and love it. great control, not a lot of bulk and the MCS is awesome!

I have a MCS T4 as well on my 700LA .300 RUM. I carry it all over these mountains at 4-6000' and it weighs about 10.5lbs. I chose the manners T4 because I like a raised comb for cheek weld, butt hook for my free hand (I feel it really helps stabilize My shot when I'm tired and winded), and the verticle swelled grip. Plus it weighs in just under 3lbs.

Re: What stock would you use for a Rem 700 LA

I have a Manners MCS T4 on my 700 LA. I love it. My rig is 90% hunting 10% tactical so an adjustable cheek piece wasn't necessary. Got mine 90% carbon fiber so my rifle comes in at 9.5 lbs with the optic. Took a while to get, but worth the wait
