Picked up my .308 today!

Picked it up today.... Savage 10 FCP LE HS 24" 1/10 Precision .308 ..... I asked earlier for some suggestions on finishing it....Base / rings etc. However, still can't decide on a scope.....really leaning toward a Vortex, either the 4-16x50 or 6-24x50...again, I know nothing about precision shooting....this is my first attempt. Thanks for your help in advance.

For precision shooting the higher the mag the better. Ive got the same gun and it also was my first pecision rifle. Just a warning after gettig everything together for the 1st one your gonna want to do it again.

I own the savage 10FLCP-K. I started with a Vortex 6x24-50 and it didn't hold up to the recoil. I bought a Sightron SIII 6x24-50, ECW Base with 20 MOA and seekins precision rings. Could not be happier.
