Sidearms & Scatterguns Copper only projectiles

Re: Copper only projectiles

Yes, I have shot the Barnes handgun projectiles in .45 and 9mm loaded by Corbon and Black Hills. I am a huge fan. I've tested both calipers through car doors and other barriers, and against plates. I've also shot quite a few deer and smaller animals with them. Performance is always great.

I recovered two from a couple does I killed with a g19 a couple days ago. First shot double lunged, she took a few steps, I could still see her ass, so I put one through her hips. Lung shot passed through, hip shot broke one hip, exited that leg, entered the other, and stopped under the off side skin. She made it about ten feet, then fell. The recovered bullet was a picture perfect full expansion with all the petals intact. The second I recovered passed through the head of a doe I finished off for a buddy. Stopped about .5 inches into hard dirt. Bullet looked the same as the first. I've shot several deer with them in both calibers, but normally they pass all the way through.

Re: Copper only projectiles

I can't read minds, and could be wrong, but since this is in the pistol and knife subforum, I'm guessing the OP is interested in handgun projectiles, not rifle.
